Current Division students may wish to enhance their PhD with additional pathways of study, as well as additional opportunities that are available in the Division. Drawing on faculty expertise in the Washington University Schools of Medicine, Arts & Sciences, and Engineering the interdisciplinary research pathways provide specialized courses of study that are undertaken as part of the student's regular course work. Some pathways are available by open enrollment, but some require an application process.
In addition, we also have the Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) Program. This program is designed to train the next generation of leaders in the biomedical sciences. The IMSD provides a community for its scholars and an environment for open exchange with the program staff and other faculty and fellow students.
